About Us

I am super excited to introduce you to the 2Dabble team—four educators with over 50 years of experience in education between us. We are incredibly passionate about giving Middle Year students the ability to read texts that are both suitable and engaging. We are very proud to say that we are producing texts, accompanied by activities and assessments from grades 4 -10. These texts encourage and foster a love of reading, creating stories that students and are interested in and can read for enjoyment.

I have been writing texts for the students I teach for over ten years. I have, over the years, noticed a real need for reading material for young teens. So I have over this time written short reads in a reading programme that specifically targets this age group. The number of disengaged readers in schools and my love of writing matched perfectly for what we have created. The considerable success that has come from this reading package has been exciting both with an increase in our reading data and students who were reluctant to read, loving the texts. This success has encouraged me to make this available to others.

Over the past 12 months, in collaboration with a fellow teacher, a senior leader and an IT specialist. We have set out to create the ultimate short read package. We are committed to giving students texts that they can read in a shorter amount of time but also allow them to develop their inferencing and questioning skills.

Our package is ideal for guided reading sessions as well as whole group lessons. We are also providing relief teachers with a vast bank of engaging texts and activities. We have had a tremendous response already to our site, and we are really thankful that many others also see the potential in our product. We believe our program creates an environment where students can learn to read for a purpose, while at the same time love what they are reading.

We believe we have many exciting new initiatives to come, including reading theatre texts and novel studies soon. We will also be introducing an Australian slang series which will give teachers a fun way of students interpreting reading material.
